Whilst still a child, my family moved to the countryside away from the congestion and the grey drabness of the city. When there I was inexplicably overwhelmed by the sheer beauty and vibrant colours of nature, since then, flowers and especially poppies have remained a constant subject in my work.

The inspiration for such coming from the artist Cedric Morris, famous for his cultivation of the pearl poppies he so dearly loved to paint in his garden.
My work is characterised by the thick application of acrylic colours combined with very high textured relief produced mainly on deep edge canvases.

I enjoy considerable success and my work can be found on display in the UK and continental European both galleries and private collections.
